🟢 How do you get kids excited to come to school on Monday?

🫴 Make sure they leave on Friday feeling proud, energized, and amazed.

How? Green School’s weekly assembly is one of the best examples I know.

I’m at Green School South Africa, one of my long-term clients, and once again, I’m seeing something every school should embrace.

🎤 A stage for students, by students.
Every Friday at 1:15 PM, the entire school—200+ learners from kindergarten to high school—gathers for their weekly assembly. Parents are welcome, but this is the students’ show.

✅ They showcase what they’ve learned.
✅ They celebrate progress—individually and as a group.

✅ They live the school’s values, not just hear about them.

✅ They receive real, meaningful feedback (watch the attached video where a kindergarten student gets a specific feedback & a  standing ovation 🎥 WATCH TILL THE END).

From the youngest to the oldest, every learner has a role. They introduce one another, support their peers, and at one point, the whole school sings together. By the end, the energy peaks with a school-wide dance.

I’ve seen these assemblies before, and every time, I feel special. Imagine what it does for the students.

💡 This isn’t just an assembly. It’s an essential learning experience.
Because confidence isn’t built through grades—it’s built through sharing, engaging, and being seen.

Every school should create this space. Every week.
