I don’t choose sides, and I won’t be polite!

Here’s the thing: people love debates. They want black-and-white answers. But in education, binary thinking holds us back.

At panels and conferences, I used to get questions like:
👉 Is it better to teach or coach?
👉 Should education focus on knowledge transfer or be student-driven?
👉 Is classic education better, or is personalization the future?

Every time, they wanted me to pick a side. But here’s the truth: these are the wrong questions.

Now, when they ask me a binary question, I won’t politely answer. I’ll say: “You’re asking the wrong question.”

Because the real question is when.
🔑 When does teaching work best?
🔑 When should coaching take the lead?
🔑 When does a classic approach yield better results?

It’s not about one method versus the other. It’s about evolving and adapting for growth—for learners, teachers, and organisations.

So no, I won’t choose sides. And I won’t be polite about it either. Debates are great for headlines. But context is what drives progress.

Let’s stop wasting time on “this or that.” Instead, let’s ask the right questions. That’s how we’ll truly move education forward.

P.s.:  Looking forward to next week, when I’ll be launching a coaching program for individuals from around the globe. Exciting news: applications are already rolling in! 🚀
